For SMEs, every dollar counts. Prioritise controls that shrink blast radius: a robust identity strategy, multifactor authentication everywhere, segmented backups, and immutable logging. Consider managed detection services if in-house capabilities are limited. Partnerships, not pride, will be the differentiator between a brief disruption and a fatal outage.

Ultimately, the story about Mythos is a lesson about asymmetry. Powerful tools amplify both defence and offence. Regulators are doing their part. Vendors have a responsibility.
